Our True Mother
We talked about the Mother-Child Contract last week. Continuing our Mother’s Day theme, May is a good time to increase our understanding our relationship with our true mother on a cosmic level.
Besides our human mother, we also have our larger one, Mother Earth aka Mother Nature. We come from the Earth and are a part of her. When we get out of our body and our ego, we can more easily tune into Mother Energy.
One of the reasons I love tuning into our true mother, our mother of the cosmos, is that it takes a lot of pressure off human motherhood. We can let go of social programming and expectations we have for our own mothers as well as those we hold for ourselves for those of us who are mothers in this lifetime.
Grab a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy this beautiful video with Joaquin Phoenix to see how tapping into Mother Energy is so healing and powerful. When we broaden our lens out from our own individual lives as Mothers, we increase our awareness of the interconnectedness of all beings. This helps us embrace all forms of "otherness" which is the first step toward healing the ills of today.
That, my friends, is my goal with the work we do at Ascended Presence! First, we broaden our awareness, then we grow and evolve.
You will absolutely love this short Jonna Jinton video, Be Like a Bison, with sage advice, soothing sounds, and stunning videography! Enjoy!
For some inspo to get out in nature, check out this short and beautiful video my friend Ali made. It's so cool how the Earth's heartbeat matches the human brain when it's in a relaxed flow state. Coincidence? Nope, there are no "coincidences". It's just another example of how we are of this Earth, not above her.
Finally, enjoy this luminous episode from Tara Brach's podcast. Her voice is soft and soothing, her meditations gentle and welcoming, and this one titled, Belonging to the Earth, is heart expanding. I think you'll enjoy it, too, so wanted to share it with you!
This experience was literally one of the most stressful of my life! And that is saying a LOT given I’d already overcome years of infertility trying to get these amazing kids, survived cancer while completing grad school, and moved internationally three times in two years.
